SYNOPSIS

Sister remembers that Brother had dark eyes, hair like her own, shoulders as fragile as a bird’s wings, and that he knew the way to the river by heart. Sister has forgotten noting about Brother.

AGNÈS PATRON

Following her studies in animation at the Ecole Superior des Arts Décoratifs, where she directed her first two painted animated shorts LA VALSE DU PENDU et LA VEUVE CAILLOU (official selection in Clermont-Ferrand, Dresden, Stuttgart, Animafest and Annecy), Agnès Patron co-directed CHULYEN HISTOIRE DE CORBEAU with Cerise Lopez, a short film awarded in numerous festivals in France and abroad (Grand Prix Animatou, Grand Prix at the National Animation Film Festival, Special Price from de Jury Hiroshima…).

She then co-directed the paper cut-out animation clip METEORES. In 2021, alongside Sacrebleu, she continues to work as graphic author in FREEDOM SWIMMER (Grand prix at Stuttgart).

Her latest film, UNE FUGUE, is co-written with Johanna Krawczvk, with whom she worked on AND THEN THE BEAR (which won the César for best animated short).

 

RON DYENS

Ron Dyens is a French Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner for the animated feature Flow (2025). He is also an Academy Award® nominee for the animated short Madagascar, Travel Diary (2011).

In 1999, he founded Sacrebleu Productions, a Paris-based production company specializing in animated features and shorts with a strong international presence and critical acclaim.
Since then, he has produced over 100 short films, with more than 2,000 festival selections worldwide, winning numerous prestigious awards – including the Palme d’Or for Barking Island.

Sacrebleu Productions moved into animated features with Long Way North (2015) – Audience Award at Annecy and 600,000 admissions in France.
Four films followed, including (awarded at BIAF 2020), My Sunny Maad (Jury Prize at Annecy 2021, César Award for Best Animated Feature and Golden Globe nominee) and Sirocco and the Kingdom of the Winds (Audience Award at Annecy 2023).

Flow premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, grossed nearly 36 million dollars at the global box office, and earned around 80 awards worldwide, including the Golden Globe, César Award, and Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature.
