A cold universe. Individuals with a cage enclosing a balloon where their heads shoud be; they come and go in the streets of an immense metropolis. They ressemble one another, have a standardised way of life. Some, in a fit of madness or lucidity try to make their balloon fly away, but any such attempt is systematically doomed to failure... One of them, against the odds, finds a mean to escape.
