Aldara, age 10, spends every summer with her unmarried aunts in a rural region of southern Italy. Eager to grow up, she oscillates between childhood games and nighttime daydreams. She discovers desire at an early age, guided by a mysterious creature that moves between wakefulness and sleep, good and evil: the Laúro.
